I’m the author of The Secret of the Tirthas, a new adventure mystery series (Book 4, The Lady in the Moon Moth Mask, due 2017). I’ve also had poetry published in Poetry Ireland, The New Welsh Review, and The Rialto.
I was born in Eastbourne and studied English at Southampton University and Environmental Management at Stirling University in Scotland. Since then I’ve worked in youth, community and environmental organisations in Wales and London. I’ve also run Poetry and Place projects as part of my work, in which school children worked with poets to write poems about their local area – some of which were then inscribed on public artworks.
The Secret of the Tirthas was inspired by trips to India, Africa, and the US, as well as a real ‘garden of rooms’ in Herefordshire that I was lucky enough to explore on a few short holidays.
I now live in the Surrey Hills. When I’m not working I spend my time walking, writing, reading and failing to keep one step ahead of two small children.
